Hi, I’m Fisayo! I’m a clinician-scientist – Physical Therapist turned neuroscientist. I am passionate about brain recovery mechanisms, neuroimaging, and computational neurorehabilitation.
I am a Physical Therapist by training and currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Neuroscience at Emory University under the mentorship of Dr. Trisha Kesar. My doctoral work is supported by an NIH NINDS T32 Institutional Training Grant, an NIH NINDS F31 Ruth L. Kirschstein Individual National Research Service Award (NRSA), and the NIH NINDS Loan Repayment Program (LRP) for Clinical Researchers.
Prior to beginning my Ph.D., I earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Health Professions, a Master’s in Physical Therapy from the MGH Institute of Health Professions, and a Bachelor’s in Medical Rehabilitation from Obafemi Awolowo University.
